Dear Stephen
This email is to confirm receipt of your request for information,
submitted via the FYI website.
Please be aware that the scope of your request is such that it will
require substantial collation and research, including reviewing against
provisions of the OIA and Privacy Acts, and is therefore likely to be
declined under s18(f) of the Official Information Act. To avoid this, I
recommend refining your request to include more targeted
information/topics, keywords, or other means of narrowing down the scope
of your enquiry.
In the meantime, can you please provide evidence of your eligibility to
access content under the OIA. To be eligible, you must either be a NZ
citizen or resident in New Zealand. Given FYI is a public forum, you can
confirm your address or citizenship with UC directly via

University of Canterbury
Dear Stephen
Further to my email of 17 May 2016, I am writing to formally confirm that,
following a review of the scope of your request and its lack of
refinement, the University is declining your request under s18(f) of the
Official Information Act owing to the substantial collation and research
required.
You have the right, under s28(3) of the OIA to complain to the Ombudsman
regarding this decision.
With regards
Tom Norcliffe
