Dear New Zealand Transport Agency,
I am seeking information regarding the accidents, traffic movements and expenditure on parts of SH2.
1. Could you please provide the statistics you hold from the opening of the River Road (or 1 April 1987, if that is more convenient, or 1 July 1987 if data from the opening or 1 April is not available) to 30 June 2017 on:
a. Minor injury crashes & minor injuries;
b. Serious injury crashes & serious injuries;
c. Fatal crashes & fatalities;
for the following intersections:
i. SH2 / Silverstream;
ii. SH2 / Riverstone Terraces;
iii. SH2 / Moonshine Road;
iv. SH2 / Whakatiki St;
v. SH2 / Gibbons St;
vi. SH2 / Totara Park Rd;
broken down by year (1 July - 30 June), if that is available.
2. Could you please provide best estimates you hold of annual traffic movements between the intersection at SH2 / Silverstream and SH2 / Fergusson Drive at Maoribank, for the 10 years, broken down by year (1 July - 30 June), if that is available.
3. Could you please provide best estimates of the expenditure on road improvements between the intersection at SH2 / Silverstream and SH2 / Fergusson Drive at Maoribank, for the 10 years, broken down by year (1 July - 30 June), if that is available.
4. Could you please provide the statistics you hold from 1 April 1987 (or 1 July 2017 if that is more convenient) to 30 June 2017 on:
a. Minor injury crashes & minor injuries;
b. Serious injury crashes & serious injuries;
c. Fatal crashes & fatalities;
for the following intersections:
i. SH2 / Haywards Hill;
ii. SH2 / Fairway Drive;
iii. All other intersections between SH2 / Fairway Drive and SH2 / Haywards Hill;
iv. SH2 / Melling;
v. All other intersections between SH2 / Melling and SH2 / Fairway Drive;
broken down by year (1 July - 30 June), if that is available.
5. Could you please provide best estimates you hold of annual traffic movements between the intersection at SH2 / Melling and SH2 / Silverstream, for the 10 years, broken down by year (1 July - 30 June), if that is available.
6. Could you please provide best estimates of the expenditure on road improvements between the intersection at SH2 / Melling and SH2 / Silverstream, for the 10 years, broken down by year (1 July - 30 June), if that is available.
If you need any more information from me to clarify my request please let me know as soon as possible. Please also let me know if you do not hold the information that I seek, but hold similar information, or are aware that another agency is likely to hold the information or similar information.
I understand that a decision on a request for information under the OIA must be made as soon as reasonably practicable, and in any case not later than 20 working days after receipt of the request.
I appreciate that, depending on how records are held by NZTA, this request may require some compilation or research. If it would assist NZTA in meeting my request I would be happy to discuss:
