Policies for Handling OIA Requests from Social Media
Nigel Jones made this Official Information request to New Zealand Transport Agency
The request was successful.
From: Nigel Jones
Dear New Zealand Transport Agency,
As I am sure you are aware, the Ombudsman has provided guidance that OIA requests can be made online, including via Social Media (Facebook, Twitter, etc) (ref: http://www.ombudsman.parliament.nz/syste...)
Therefore, under the OIA, I'd like to request:
1) All policy documents (at minimum relevant sections) pertaining to the handling of OIA requests via Social Mediums.
2) Details of training given to staff controlling and/or monitoring NZTA's Social Media accounts pertaining to the identification and handling of requests.
3) If (as at 14/Sept/17) not all accounts are monitored for OIA requests, a list of accounts that are, and aren't.
4) Details on if the tweet at https://twitter.com/NigeLiJ/status/89768... sent to the generally monitored @NZTAAkl Twitter account, on 16/Aug/17 was processed according to NZTA's policies.
5) The total number of OIA requests received using Social Media, per year - please identify if using Calendar years, or other year-long periods.
Yours faithfully,
Nigel Jones
