Reasons Clients Not Permmitted Self Representation By Phone During BRC Hearings
Gregory Soar made this Official Information request to Ministry of Social Development
The request was successful.
From: Gregory Soar
Dear Ministry of Social Development,
Why are those clients deemed a safety risk not permitted to represent themselves by telephone during Benefit Review Committee hearings?
How can not allowing a client to represent themselves by telephone better provide security for the Board members?
How can allowing a client to self represent during Benefit Review Committee Board hearing via telephone increase any risk to any review board member?
What are the justifications for the removal of the right to speak directly with the board during these hearings?
Yours faithfully,
Gregory Soar
