Thank you for your email for CCTV footage, The Auckland Transport Operations Centre (‘ATOC’) has reviewed the nearest camera to this location and advised we do not hold any footage relevant to this incident as the camera was pointing the opposite direction at that time and thus did not pick-up anything.

Your request is therefore refused under section 17(e) of the Local Government Official Information and Meetings Act 1987 (LGOIMA), as the footage requested does not exist.

Should you believe that we have not responded appropriately to your request, you have the right in accordance with section 27(3) of the LGOIMA to make a complaint to the Office of the Ombudsman to seek an investigation and review of the decision.

Subject: Official Information request - Request for Traffic Camera Footage on Great North Road

Dear Auckland Transport,

I had a traffic incident on Great North Road near the junction of Bullock Track and I know that there is a camera on top of the traffic lights. Not too sure what direction it is pointing in but I wonder if it captured the moment.

I have reported the incident to the Police but unfortunately my personal camera footage was clouded by rain and hasn't captured the moment too well.

I was cycling north towards the city on Great North road. I had just left the lights at the bottom of Bullock track and was in the bus lane wearing high a visibility yellow jacket. The time was approximately 08:10 Wed 15th August 2018.

The incident involved myself, the cyclist and a black Honda reg. KEP490. Just after the bus stop.
