Subject: Official Information request - Royal Commission into GM

Dear University of Otago,

I am researching matters relating to the Royal Commission of Inquiry into Genetic Modification.

Professor Jean Fleming was one of the commissioners involved in that inquiry. The Government of the day announced in December 1999 that it would hold a Royal commission into genetic modification. Please supply me with all information about when Prof Fleming was approached about her availability to take part in that inquiry and any other information about her involvement. On what date did Prof Fleming advise Otago University that she had been approached to take part in the inquiry?
