Dear Amber Bill,

Here's what I think, when you told me that between 1-1-2010 and 1-1-2014 there were 560 emails between DOC and Beef + Lamb NZ Ltd's front company OSPRI relating to 1080 poisoning Kea, and no I can't have them, I think you exposed enough evidence that you have a serious case to answer.

You try to say that Kea are coming back but many West Coasters report plummeting numbers after 1080 drops and your own studies show up to 78% kill rates.

Beef + Lamb NZ Ltd want Kea gone because they predate sheep that encroach on Kea habitat and I think you are helping them do it.

Their front company OSPRI, along with your own poisoning contractors, kill protected native birds year after year and you don't prosecute them. This is collusion and corruption. It is against the law. These OIA requests are not vexatious, they seek to expose crimes against our native birds and wildlife.

Yes I will use these images to expose your crimes, you should be ashamed of yourselves for this disgusting behaviour. The images are not even yours to with-hold, they belong to the New Zealand Tax paying public.

You also state no Kiwi have been found dead from 1080 but you don't test the dead ones you find. You have tested one Kiwi dropping and it came back positive for 1080. What happened to the bird? DOC admit 1080 is a teratogen, so why are you harming our national birds ability to breed? Why do you freeze bird samples for weeks or months on end when your own best practice for kiwi says not to freeze. https://www.kiwisforkiwi.org/kiwipractit...

Overseas studies state that freezing samples reduces the amount of detectable 1080 in those samples. And so you freeze them.
