The Nelson Marlborough District Health Board acknowledges receipt of your

- For each of the past three years ending June 2016, June 2017 and June
2018 what was the DHBs Rural Adjuster funding component of the PBFF

As a result, we have decided to partially transfer Point 1 of your request
to the Ministry of Health under section 14 of the Official information Act
1982 (the Act), and you will hear from the Ministry in due course.
You have the right, under section 28 of the Act, to ask the Ombudsman to
review this decision to transfer your request for information.

Dear Marie
Re: Official Information Act request – Rural Adjuster allocation,
monitoring and reporting
We refer to your official information request received by Nelson
Marlborough DHB on 4 March 2019.
The Official Information Act requires that we advise you of our decision
on your request no later than 20 working days after the day we received
your request. Unfortunately, it will not be possible to meet that time
limit and we are therefore writing to notify you of an extension of the
time of an additional 20 working days to make our decision, to 2 May
2019.
This extension is necessary because, and as specified under Section
15A(1)(a) of the Official Information Act 1982, ‘the request necessitates
a search through a large quantity of information and meeting the original
time limit would unreasonably interfere with the operations of the
organisation’.
On behalf of the responding service, we will endeavour to respond to your
request as soon as reasonably practicable.
You have the right to seek an investigation by the Ombudsman of this
decision. Information about how to make a complaint is available at
[1]www.ombudsman.parliament.nz or free phone 0800 802 602.

Dear Gaylene Corlett,
Thanks so much for the information you have provided in your response as we do appreciate the time it takes to do so.
We will collate the responses from all of the DHBs - particularly around the services that are provided as we hope to map these across rural NZ to tell a positive story about what is actually available in rural communities.
Yours sincerely,
Marie Daly
