members of academic staff are explicitly covered in the definition of "Official Information". See also s2(4) OIA which calrifies that information held by employees in their official capacity (e.g. as a tutor) is held by the agency.

Yep, which exactly why I think I'm in the right. Will be interesting to see if I'm declined under s9(k) though; as that has been the suggested ground for such requests previously.

The purpose of this test is to test whether lecturer notes are OIAable: was talking to it with a friend, and they said that they wouldn't be, because lecturer's regarded their notes as their own property, not the University's.
