I contested the Hamilton West electorate as an Independent in 2016, coming 7th out of 9 candidates, beating a Government Party candidate (United Future) here.
I am considering standing in an upcoming Hamilton City Council by-election in the New Year, on account of the death of a second term councillor of the East Ward. The HCC will be impacted by the change of government so needs to be prepared. That is why I am standing.
