Today the government released a discussion paper on flexible superannuation. I would like to request the following information under the OIA:

* all advice on the flexible superannuation discussion document;
* all drafts of the discusison document;
* all internal correspondence (incl emails, letters, and phone calls) about the discussion document

I would prefer to receive an electronic response. Queries about this request will be automatically forwarded to me by the fyi.org.nz website.

With regards to s12 of the OIA, I am an NZ citizen and in NZ.

Hi Alex

 

In regards to your OIA request, Flexi-super advice and drafts on the 26^th
of August requesting:

·         all advice on the flexible superannuation discussion document;

·         all drafts of the discussion document;

·         all internal correspondence (incl emails, letters, and phone
calls) about the discussion document

 

There are a couple of things I would like to clarify:

·         The previous drafts of the discussion document show just
editorial differences to the public discussion document. There are no
substantive changes in these drafts. Do you still want copies of these
drafts?

·         The internal correspondence is predominately administrative
emails. Do you still want copies of these emails? Or would you like to
refine your request?

Thanks for your response. Just as a pointer, the identities of low-level staff should be withheld under s9(2)(a), not 9(2)(g)(i). The identity of a staff member is not an expression of opinion and is not covered by that clause.
