Thank you for your email of 16 September 2019 to the Ministry of Education
requesting the following information under the Official Information Act
1982 (the Act):

 

I would like to understand how many Co-opted trustee that each school has
within the Auckland region. Also, what's the common reason to have
Co-opted trustee within the Boards of Trustees of any Schools.

I noted from your website, the percentage for Co-opted trustee are low,
are there any plan to increase the Co-opted trustee within the school's
Boards of Trustees? Also, how can public express interest to become a
Co-opted trustee and who make the decision to have Co-opted trustee?

 

The Ministry needs to extend the timeframe of our response to your
request, pursuant to sections 15A(1)(b) of the Act as, due to the
consultations necessary to make a decision on the request, a proper
response cannot reasonably be made within the original timeframe. For this
reason, you can expect to receive a response to your request by 1 November
2019. I am hopeful we will be able to respond to you before that date.

extension you have the right to ask an Ombudsman to investigate our
decision to extend the timeframe. You can do this by writing to
