Dear Anne Fitzgerald,
Thank you for the information, however I was expecting data to include all adverse reactions and deaths from simvastatin. In the case of my husband and several others that we know personally - their injury occurred in the period 2001-2004. We know there are around 20 deaths from statins and a considerable number of severe adverse events - this information was from CARM. Is there a reason the data you gave is only from 2005?
Thank you for your help.
Yours sincerely,
Heather Barker

ACC were unable to fulfill my request. Apparently they did not hold data about the specific type of statin injuries until after 2005 due to a lack of tracking coding.
From the information which was recorded it appears 6 claims were made for statins, 4 were accepted and 2 declined. The brand of statins was unavailable.
