Thank you for your email dated 4 December 2019 requesting the following
information under the Official Information Act 1982 (the Act):
I would like to know how many successful HomeStart grants have been given
to applicants in Canterbury (including Christchurch), and how many of
those were for new build vs. existing homes.
On 11 December 2019 the Inland Revenue Department transferred your request
to Kâinga Ora – Homes and Communities under section 14(b)(ii) of the Act.
You can expect to be notified of the decision on your request by 30
January 2019 at the latest, being 20 working days after the day on which
the request was received by Kâinga Ora in accordance with section 15(1) of
the Act.
Please note that according to the Ombudsman’s website, the three weeks
between Christmas Day and 15 January of the following year are not counted
as working days.
If an extension of time is required to make a decision you will be
notified prior to that date in accordance with section 15A of the Act.
We may also contact you if further clarification or refinement of your
request is required to enable a decision to be made.
