I refer to your Official Information Act request dated 30 December 2019 where you requested information regarding House officer and medical doctor recruitment from Hawke’s Bay District Health Board (HBDHB).

Can you please clarify the following question: The total number of all hired medical doctors (2014 - 2020).

Are you looking for information of the total number of medical staff (FTE) employed by HBDHB over this period, or the total number of new medical staff recruited and employed over this period.

Under the Official Information Act 1982, we have 20 working days from receipt of your request to respond. Therefore we anticipate a response back to you by 14 February 2020. Please note, the three weeks between Christmas Day and 15 January the following year don't count as working days, and neither does February 6 (Waitangi Day statutory holiday).

If we are unable to respond to your request by then, we will notify you of an extension of that timeframe. If any additional factors come to light which are relevant to your request, please do not hesitate to contact us so that these can be taken into account.
