Requesting CCTV Footage
Kimberly made this Official Information request to Auckland Transport
The request was refused by Auckland Transport.
From: Kimberly
Dear Auckland Transport,
I am requesting CCTV footage at intersection Curran ST, Jervois RD at 2:20 12/03/2020 and Shelly Beach RD, Jervois RD at 2:21 12/03/2020.
My car was hit by another car at the intersection of Curran ST, Jervois RD at 2:20 pm then refused to pull over until the next intersection which is Shelly Beach RD, Jervois RD at 2:21 where they verbally abused me saying racist things.
I have reported this to the police and was told this could significantly help my investigation. Police file number is: 200313/4717.
Yours faithfully,
Kimberly Moyle

We are unable to provide you with the information you asked for
On 21/06/2020 you asked for CCTV footage at intersection Curran Street,
Jervois Road at 2:20 12/03/2020 and Shelly Beach Road, Jervois Road at
2:21 12/03/2020.
I am very sorry to hear that you were the victim of a verbal and racially
abusive assault. Our CCTV footage is overwritten automatically after a
certain time period (usually seven days). We have checked our system and I
can confirm that unfortunately the footage you have asked for has been
overwritten. Your request is therefore refused under section 17(e) of the

the footage doesn’t exist.
We understand that this isn’t the outcome you hoped for and I'm very sorry
that I couldn't assist you on this occasion.
You are able to ask the Ombudsman to review how we’ve responded to your
official information request. You can contact the Ombudsman at
