Ministry of Business, Innovation & Employment
Dear Sumit Rawtani
In order that I can determine your eligibility to make a request under
the Official Information Act 1982 (OIA, see section 12), please confirm
and provide evidence that you fall into one of the following categories:
(a) a New Zealand citizen; or
(b) a permanent resident of New Zealand; or
(c) a person who is in New Zealand;
Please provide this information by 1 September 2020.
In addition, I am writing to clarify your request as currently it is not
clear what information you are requesting. Are you asking for the date of
the oldest application in the non-priority skilled residence queue?
Please note that Immigration New Zealand (INZ) does not have a specific
Skilled Migrant Category (SMC) queue but one for skilled residence
applications, which includes SMC and Resident from Work (RFW)
applications. The applications are not split into two separate queues
based on the application category.
Any clarification or amendment of an OIA request is considered to be a new
request for the purpose of calculating the maximum statutory timeframe for
response in line with section 15(1AA) of the OIA.
If you have any questions you can contact me.
Kind regards
Anna McLachlan
