Hamilton City Incident Breakdown
Thomas Holmes made this Official Information request to New Zealand Police
The request was partially successful.
From: Thomas Holmes
Dear New Zealand Police,
I note that the Waikato Police have this morning released an infographic detailing incidents within Hamilton City over a seven-day period from 8 December 2020 through to 14 December 2020.
For your reference, this is accessible via the link below:
https://www.facebook.com/WaikatoPolice/p...
In relation to this, I would like to make an Official Information Act request for the date range covering 1 October 2020 - 16 December 2020.
Please provide a spreadsheet in excel or CSV format containing the following data:
- Date/time of the incident
- Police event number
- Type of incident ideally using the event result code e.g. 4211 Unlawfully takes motor vehicle
- Time from the event being created in CARD to Police arriving on scene
- Outcome of the incident such as did not attend, attended, offender arrested, offender warned, etc.
- Any tactical options used in the event e.g. OC spray, taser presented, taser laser painting
I note that all of the above points have been released together in previous unrelated OIA requests so there should be no reason to withhold this information.
For the purposes of the Official Information Act I am a New Zealand citizen currently residing in New Zealand.
Yours faithfully,
Thomas Holmes

I have considered your request under the OIA 1982 and I can advise you of
the following;
* I have attached a spreadsheet containing the information you have
requested.
* However there is not a format or program available to match the
Tactical Options with the CARD events available to suit your request,
therefore the Tactical Options Reports are left out due to not being
available to suit the data program for capturing the statistics..
You have the right to ask the Ombudsman to review my decision if you are
not satisfied with Police’s response to your request.
Kind regards
