Police need cctv footage for stolen cellphone and cards within 48 hours

Dear Auckland Transport,
My cellphone and driver licence and cards were stolen from corner of Johnstones road and East Tamaki road yesterday 9th feb 2021 at approx 1.30pm to 2pm. It has falling out of the kindy van with best start big signwriting silver Toyota estima number plate CBJ283 and a bystander has picked it up and switched it off within 15mins. There was a 360 cctv camera in the vicinity and we are hoping you can save still photos and a video between 1.30 and 2pm from 9th feb on a flash drive that the police can pickup. The police reference is 210209/8496 or police online report reference OR-144113N
Or still photos can be uploaded to 105.police.govt.nz
Can someone please save this cctv footage so it doesn’t lapse and so the police can access it. I appreciate your help.
Please if you can urgently give the police access as we were told the cctv footage in this particular area may overwrite after 48 hours and it has already been close to 24 hours

Thanks for the response. This is an urgent matter if you are able to put the footage of cctv aside for the police. Please find the request from the police in your system. I will follow up with police so they can get in touch and supply them reference. The footage may disappear after 48 hours at this particular cctv are you able to clarify please get in touch with the police at 105 and with references above.

I’ve attached the official information you asked for
On 10/02/2021 you asked for CCTV footage.
I'm sorry to hear of the incident. The Auckland Transport Operations
Centre have downloaded the camera footage. Whilst we cannot guarantee the
footage contains the information you seek, it has nonetheless been saved.
However, Auckland Transport does not supply CCTV footage directly to
members of the public due to reasons of privacy. Available footage of a
specific incident or alleged crime will only be released to the New
Zealand Police, upon receipt of a request from them.
Please advise the New Zealand Police about the available footage relating
to reference number (CAS-299715-S3K4D6), and to contact Auckland
Transport directly to arrange pick-up of the relevant footage.
Should you believe that we have not dealt with your request appropriately,
you are able to make a complaint to the Office of the Ombudsman in
accordance with section 27(3) of the LGOIMA Act and seek an investigation
and review in regard to this matter.

Thank you for your response and saving the footage. I have notified the police to pickup the footage ASAP they may not get the chance too until after this 3 day lockdown. They are however aware you have saved it. I will touch base with the police again in a few days to ensure they collect it from you guys.
