True Number of Maximum Security Prisoners At Paremoremo
Ian Andrews made this Official Information request to Department of Corrections
The request was successful.
From: Ian Andrews
Dear Department of Corrections,
The Department a few months ago had the following webpage which acknowledged that only 90 of the over 600 inmates at Auckland's Maximum Security Prison at Paramoremo were actually classified as Maximum Security .
http://www.corrections.govt.nz/utility-n...
However , this page has disappeared . Is this to hide the above facts from the United Nations Inspectors or to frustrate current attempts by High Security prisoners such as Arthur Taylor to be transferred to the High Security Prisons ( with more freedom ) their classification qualifies them for, in accordance with the Corrections Act and Regulations ? Or is it for some other reason? if so , please explain .
Yours faithfully,
Ian Andrews
