Organ Harvesting in New Zealand

K Roe (Account suspended) made this Official Information request to Ministry of Health

The request was successful.

From: K Roe (Account suspended)

Dear Ministry of Health,

1) Does blood count as an organ?

2) Please can you inform me about the paperwork requirements of showing that blood samples have been given under a process of informed consent.

I am concerned that when the Covid comes people may be involuntarily anesthetised and kept on a ventillator for the purpose of harvesting their blood and blood derived products (serum, antibodies) to give to the people who... I don't know... Pay a Koha donation for such things or whatever is customary for treatment in the Public Hospital System of New Zealand.

This will help inform my decision about:

Whether vaccination (or emmigration) is right for me. Whether I seek medical care or not under any circumstances. Etc etc.

There's none so blind as those who will not see (and there's those who may as well have their jaws wired shut) etc.

Yours faithfully,

K Roe

Kia ora,

Thank you for your email.

Please be advised that blood is not considered an organ. Technically,
blood is a liquid pumped by the heart which transports oxygen and
nutrients to the cells and carries away carbon dioxide and other waste
products.

Regarding the consent process for providing blood samples, you may wish to
contact NZ Blood for this information:
[1]https://www.nzblood.co.nz/contact-us/ or 0800 448 325.

In New Zealand it would be illegal to administer treatment without
informed consent.

Information relating to the COVID-19 Vaccination can be found on the
Ministry of Health website:

Further COVID-19 Vaccine information can be found on Medsafe's website:

Dear OIA Requests,

Thank you very much for your timely response.

I will follow up with the courts re the taking of blood without informed consent (from someone who was not in the position to provide consent given they were under a treatment order).

If I could just add a quick follow up:

Is bone marrow an organ?

(I am thinking about slavery supply chain issues to do with sourcing kiddies cancer treatments etc).

Yours sincerely,

K Roe

Kia ora,

Yes, bone marrow is an organ.

You may also want to review the PubMed website of the National Library of Medicine, which is part of the National Institutes of Health in the United States. PubMed
(https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/) is a free resource supporting the search and retrieval of biomedical and life sciences literature.

Dear OIA Requests,

Thank you very much for your timely and informative response.

I have a problem with PubMed because it is not full text. Fortunately I am able to obtain medical texts from from BookDepository UK and there are high quality internationally peer reviewed publications available online so I need not resort to those hidden behind a dark web kind of a pay-wall of University Subscription.

I am thinking about why it costs so much to get a peer reviewed publication when the journal needs to hire people to independently audit the data etc etc for the purposes of keeping the quality of the journal reputable...

Yours sincerely,

K Roe
