Dear Ministry of Justice,
I am requesting information under the Official Information Act regarding:
1. What eligible agency the Mongrel Mob has partnered with in applying for funding for their Kahukura rehabilitation scheme
1. The criteria for funding (as mentioned in the Justince Ministry's website at https://www.justice.govt.nz/justice-sect...) that the Mongrel Mob/the eligible agency has satisfied in applying for funding for the Kahukura rehabilitation scheme, and the evidence, business case or projections have presented to the Panel to argue for the case that the gang pad has met these criteria.
2. The evidence that funding could make a difference, a business case, or projections, and any other information of this nature for funding the Kahukura rehabilitation scheme that have been presented to the Panel, the Prime Minister, the Deputy Prime Minister, the Minister of Justice and any other relevant people responsible for making decisions on the Proceeds of Crime funding.
3. Official advice for funding the Kahukura rehabilitation scheme that have been presented to the Panel, the Prime Minister, the Deputy Prime Minister, the Minister of Justice and any other relevant people responsible for making decisions on the Proceeds of Crime funding.
4. Financial statements, evidence, and any other documents of this nature that led to the establishment that $2.75m shall be granted to the scheme.

Official Information Act request: Proceeds of Crime Fund
Thank you for your email of 12 July 2021 requesting, under the Official
Information Act 1982 (the Act), information regarding the Proceeds of
Crime Fund (PoCF) panel and the Kahukura programme. Specifically, you
requested:
1. What eligible agency the Mongrel Mob has partnered with in applying for
funding for their Kahukura rehabilitation scheme

that led to the establishment that $2.75m shall be granted to the scheme.
On 16 July 2021, your request was transferred to Hon Kris Faafoi for
response as the information requested closely relates to the functions of
the Minister of Justice.
A response to your request is being prepared. However, due to the need for
consultation with external agencies, a response cannot reasonably be made
within the original time limit. Accordingly, we are extending the time
limit for response to this request by 20 working days under section 15A of
the Act and will respond to you by 6 September 2021.
You have the right under section 28(3) of the Act to complain to the
Ombudsman about the decision to extend the time for responding to your
request. The Ombudsman may be contacted by emailing
