Pfizer Covid-19 Vaccine - Premature Deaths
Ross Francis made this Official Information request to Ministry of Health
Response to this request is long overdue. By law Ministry of Health should have responded by now (details and exceptions). The requester can complain to the Ombudsman.
From: Ross Francis
Dear Ministry of Health,
What information, if any, has the Health Ministry received about the Norwegian expert group's findings into premature deaths caused by the Pfizer’s Covid-19 vaccine? The expert group reported in May that the deaths of ten people were probably caused by the Pfizer Covid-19 vaccine. Further, a further 26 deaths were possibly caused by the vaccine. My request includes information held in the minds of officials and any information contained in OIA requests to the Ministry.
The Ministry previously advised that the probability of an unvaccinated person aged under 50, in excellent health and with no pre-existing conditions, dying from Covid-19 was zero to 0.2%. Can you please provide me with all information you hold about the source of that information including how the above calculation was made.
Has the Ministry produced or been supplied with a cost-benefit analysis of the cost of vaccinating under 50 year olds and the benefits of vaccinating under 50 year olds? If so, please supply me with a copy of that analysis. Approximately what is the total cost of vaccinating under 50 year olds in New Zealand?
Yours faithfully,
Ross Francis

Thank you for your email. On 19 July 2021, the Ministry of Health advised you in response to your request of 5 July 2021 (H202108102 refers), that the Ministry holds no information pertaining to the Norwegian Expert Group findings. This still stands and there is nothing further to add.
Under section 28(3) of the Act, you have the right to ask the Ombudsman to review any decisions made under this request.
