Financial or other incentives for Gp practices for bivalent vaccines, and co administration.
Chris McQuoid made this Official Information request to Ministry of Health
Response to this request is long overdue. By law Ministry of Health should have responded by now (details and exceptions). The requester can complain to the Ombudsman.
From: Chris McQuoid
Dear Ministry of Health, I would like to know what if any rewards, incentives, grants reimbursements are offered to gp practices giving the flu and the bivalent covid vaccine.
In addition to this I request any information on the possibility of those being passed from the practice on to the individual employees of that practice in the form of targets or meeting a target number or of individual bonuses I seek this part of information specifically in relation to Three Kings Family Medical Center.
Lastly I ask for any research that may have informed MOH on administering bivalent and flu vaccines at the same time. In regards to latrogenic reactions or any other proof of safety and efficacy.
Yours faithfully,
Christopher McQuoid

Tēnā koe Chris
Thank you for your request, transferred to Te Whatu Ora on 28 June 2023,
asking for the following information under the Official Information Act
1982 (the Act):
"I would like to know what if any rewards, incentives, grants
reimbursements are offered to gp practices giving the flu and the bivalent
covid vaccine.
In addition to this I request any information on the possibility of those
being passed from the practice on to the individual employees of that
practice in the form of targets or meeting a target number or of
individual bonuses I seek this part of information specifically in
relation to Three Kings Family Medical Center."
This email is to let you know that Te Whatu Ora needs more time to make a
decision on your request.
The Act requires that we advise you of our decision on your request no
later than 20 working days after the day we received your request.
Unfortunately, it will not be possible to meet that time limit and we are
therefore writing to notify you of an extension of the time to make our
decision, to 24 August 2023.
This extension is required because the consultations necessary to make a
decision on your request are such that a proper response cannot reasonably
be made within the original time limit.
If you have any questions, please contact us at [1][email address]
If you are not happy with this extension, you have the right to make a
complaint to the Ombudsman. Information about how to do this is available
at www.ombudsman.parliament.nz or by phoning 0800 802 602.

Dear hnzOIA,
Well Matt it has been a long time awaiting your response, the answers provided circumvent the information i am asking.
I will ask again in simpler language, if i was a GP would i benefit financially or otherwise for having high vaccination uptake of my patients.
Or in other words would or may there be any difference in personel gains financial or otherwise if i vaccinated 10% of my patients or if i managed 100% uptake of vaccinations across all of my patients. I hope this is a little clearer.
In addition is there any knowledge of pharmaceutical companies offering performance based incentives.
Yours sincerely,
Chris McQuoid
