considered for approval 2. what criteria are being used to determine

determine rejection of a nasal spray treatment”

 

A secondary request for official information was received on 11 October
2021 for:

 

“The Ministry of Health website states:

 

"So far, only the Pfizer/BioNTech, Janssen and AstraZeneca vaccines have
been provisionally approved by Medsafe, however, the Pfizer vaccine is the
only vaccine that Cabinet has approved for our rollout in New Zealand. You
can’t choose what type of COVID-19 vaccine you’ll get."

 

Can you please detail the policy behind why the Pfizer vaccine is
exclusively approved for rollout”

 

The Ministry of Health has consolidated your requests under reference
number: H202114098.

 

As required under the Official Information Act 1982, the Ministry will
endeavour to respond to your requests no later than 9 November 2021, being
20 working days after the day your request was received.

 

Due to the COVID-19 global pandemic response, the Ministry is experiencing
