Thank you for your request under the Official Information Act 1982 (the
Act) to the Ministry of Health (the Ministry) on 20 October 2021 for
information relating to the importation of vaccines in New Zealand. You
specifically requested:

 

“I would like the briefing documents relating to the decision to not
import and make available the approved Astra Zeneca and Jensen Vaccines in
New Zealand”

 

Decisions regarding the importation of Astra Zeneca and Jensen vaccines
are currently under active consideration. As such, information within
scope of your request is withheld in full under section 9(2)(f)(iv) of the
Act, to maintain the constitutional conventions that protect the
confidentiality of advice tendered by Ministers and officials.
