Tçnâ koe Mark

Thank you for your request under the Official Information Act 1982 (the
Act) on 30 October 2021 for:

“…the total number of times an Ambulance picked up a person from a place
of Covid Vaccination due to an adverse event that occurred during the
"Observation period" for all of New Zealand.”

The information requested is not held by the COVID-19 Vaccine and
Immunisation Programme nor the National Ambulance Sector Office. You may
wish to seek information from the specific public health units (PHUs).
Contact details for the PHUs are available on the Ministry of Health
website at:
[1]www.health.govt.nz/new-zealand-health-system/key-health-sector-organisations-and-people/public-health-units/public-health-unit-contacts.

However, anyone – doctor, nurse, pharmacist, vaccinator, government
agency, ambulance officer, patient or member of the public – can report
adverse events following vaccination (AEFI) to the Centre for Adverse
Reactions Monitoring (CARM) at the University of Otago.  CARM undertake
pharmacovigilance under contract to the Ministry. Whilst reporting is
voluntary, both Medsafe and CARM encourage reporting of AEFI.  The form to
do so is available at: [2]https://report.vaccine.covid19.govt.nz/s...

Under section 28(3) of the Act, you have the right to ask the Ombudsman to
review any decisions made under this request. The Ombudsman may be
contacted by email at: [3][email address] or by calling 0800
802 602.
