Dear Deputy Director General of Health,
So please confirm there was not one single case of MIS-C in 2005-2020
Were the first 15 cases you mention in 2020 or 2021?
Your letter mentions 2020 but then you state that there were no cases in 2020.
So let me get this straight
Were there zero cases of MIS-C from 2005-2020?
Covid-19 was around in 2020 and there were no cases of MIS-C yet Covid is the cause of MIS-C.
2021 we start vaccinations and then all of a sudden there are 15 cases of MIS-C.
Can you confirm
- Were the 15 cases of MIS-C in people that were vaccinated - YES or NO
- Were these people if they had Covid-19 and it causes MIS-C were they treated with Remdesevir also a known drug that will cause organ failure.
How has the corruption got so bad Deputy General.
Have some integrity - how can you sit over there and not link the two when me as an informed citizen knows that MIS-C is ONLY occurring in the vaccinated. This is widely known overseas and you continue to take directives from WHO who are wrong with everything they say and do.
When the public start putting this together there are going to be a large number of angry parents when they find out the Ministry of Health is knowingly causing illnesses in children.
Yours sincerely,
Chris McCashin

Kia ora Chris
Thank you for your email.
The Ministry of Health (The Ministry) consulted with the New Zealand Child
and Youth Epidemiology Service at the University of Otago for data on the
number of Multisystem Inflammatory Syndrome from COVID-19 (MIS-C).
Between 2005 to 2020, there were no reported cases of MIS-C in New
Zealand. The diagnostic code for MIS-C was only released in 2020. There
has been no prior use of the diagnostic code before 2020.
Clinical coders allocate all relevant diagnosis codes to each
hospitalisation based on information in the clinical record. To ensure a
diagnosis of MIS-C was not missed, up to 15 diagnoses for each
hospitalisation were analysed.
Under section 28(3) of the Act, you have the right to ask the Ombudsman to
review any decisions made under this request. The Ombudsman may be
contacted by email at: [1][email address] or by calling 0800
