Subject: Official Information request - Split between unvaccinated and
ineligible persons covid hospitalisation figures 20 November

 

Dear Ministry of Health,

The following figures were announced as of 20th November regarding
hospitalised covid cases:

"There are 83 COVID-positive people in hospital. Of these, 36 are in
Auckland City, 23 in Middlemore, 20 in North Shore, and one each in
Whangārei, Waikato, Rotorua, and Tauranga.

Five people are in an intensive care or high dependency unit.

The average age of hospitalisations is 49.

The vaccination status of current hospitalisations - which includes
Northern Region wards only - as of November 20 is:

Unvaccinated or not eligible - 38 cases or 50 percent
Partially vaccinated for fewer than 14 days - nine cases or 12 percent
Partially vaccinated for more than 14 days - seven cases or 9 percent
Fully vaccinated for fewer than 14 days - one case  or 1 percent
Fully vaccinated for more than 14 days - 16 cases or 21 percent
Unknown - four cases or 5 percent."

Please advise what the split is between unvaccinated cases and not
eligible cases (38 cases or 50 percent) including a breakdown of the ages
and the primary reason for being in hospital and if ineligible for what
reasons

Please also provide the vaccination status of the five cases in ICU as at
the same date

Please also provide the number of cases in hospital that were already in
hospital for something else then consequently tested positive for covid.
Please provide the vaccination status of all such cases and the
age/reasons for hospitalisation
