In my view they are being a bit unreasonable insisting on an "original" of a short list of types of document. Merely providing a New Zealand postal address is usually enough to establish section 12 compliance.

Wow isn't that shocking that they wait so long and then will only start the 20 days once they have confirmation from you that you are a NZ resident. More stall and delay tactics from ACC.
