Dear Ruapehu District Council,
Earlier this year, you published the NIRP - North Island Regional Passenger Rail Connector (https://www.ruapehudc.govt.nz/our-distri...).
I am interested in understanding the supporting justification for this proposed transport investment. In particular I am interested in understanding the costs and benefit analysis supporting the four options outlined in the table at the top of page 27. I therefore request the following supporting information:
1) Can I please have a copy of the calculations used to estimate the Total Costs (PV) for each of the four options outlined in the table at the top of page 27?
2) Can I please have a copy of the calculations used to estimate the Avoided Costs (PV) for each of the four options outlined in the table at the top of page 27?
3) Can I please have a copy of the calculations used to estimate the Net Costs (PV) for each of the four options outlined in the table at the top of page 27?
4) Can I please have a copy of the calculations used to estimate the Total Benefits (PV) for each of the four options outlined in the table at the top of page 27?
5) Can I please have a copy of the calculations used to estimate the BCR for each of the four options outlined in the table at the top of page 27?
6) Can I please have a copy of the calculations used to estimate the NPV for each of the four options outlined in the table at the top of page 27?
7) Can I please have a copy of the calculations used to estimate the Capital Cost element for the NRIP 'connector' outlined in the table at the bottom of page 27?
8) Can I please have a copy of the calculations used to estimate the Operating Cost element for the NRIP 'connector' outlined in the table at the top of page 28?
9) Can I please have a copy of the calculations used to estimate the Capital Cost element for the NRIP Te Huia outlined in the table at the bottom of page 28?
10) Can I please have a copy of the calculations used to estimate the Operating Cost element for the NRIP Te Huia outlined in the table at the bottom of page 28?
