BlipTrack systems
Alex Harris made this Official Information request to New Zealand Transport Agency
The request was successful.
From: Alex Harris
Dear New Zealand Transport Agency,
The NZTA uses BlipTrack, a tracking system using BlueTooth, to measure traffic speeds and pedestrian flow along various roads (the Waikato expressway, Auckland Airport, and in Wellington, according to an early 2013 press release). I would like to request the following information under the OIA:
* a list of all roads and locations in New Zealand covered by BlipTrack;
* whether the Police or any other agency have requested or received BlipTrack data.
I would prefer to receive an electronic response. Queries about
this request will be automatically forwarded to me by the
fyi.org.nz website.
With regards to s12 of the OIA, I am an NZ citizen and in NZ.
Yours faithfully,
Alex Harris
