On behalf of Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall, Minister for COVID-19 Response, thank you for your request under the Official Information Act 1982 (the Act). You have requested:
“Please can I have a list of all celebrities, politicians, media personalities, social media influencers, that were paid to promote/advertise the covid-19 vaccine, and how much they were paid.”
Information on COVID-19 vaccine promotion and advertising costs up to and including 30 June 2022 is more closely associated with the functions and responsibilities of the Department of Prime Minister and Cabinet (DPMC). Accordingly, I have decided under section 14 of the Act to partially transfer your request to DPMC.
Information on COVID-19 promotion and advertising costs from 1 July 2022 onwards is more closely associated with the functions and responsibilities of the Te Whatu Ora – Health NZ. Accordingly, I have decided under section 14 of the Act to partially transfer the remainder of your request to Te Whatu Ora.
You can expect a response to your request from both agencies in due course.
