Ethnicity/Race/Age of Males: Adverse events COVID-19 vs COVID-19 Vaccine

Jonty Piers made this Official Information request to Ministry of Health

Response to this request is long overdue. By law Ministry of Health should have responded by now (details and exceptions). The requester can complain to the Ombudsman.

From: Jonty Piers

Dear Ministry of Health,

1. How many people with no co-morbidities have died due to a primary diagnosis of covid 19 in 2020, 2021 and 2022. Please supply a breakdown of data by age group and year of death

2. Numbers of emergency presentations for inflammatory heart disease (pericarditis and myocarditis) in 2019, 2020, 2021 and 2022.

3. Please provide the risk comparison of young males (under 30) developing serious health events from COVID-19 (coronavirus) vs developing serious health events from receiving the COVID-19 Vaccines (Pfizer etc). Please provide a baseline figure, not a smokescreen of 5% vs 8% gobbidy goop. I studied critical reasoning and semantics at University so I am no stranger to the clever use of words and statistics to provide a vague conclusion.

These statistics shouldn't be hard to find unless we are living in 1984 or something.

I lost my job because of your health recommendations being a young male. As I pay taxes, (and hence yours), I am owed an answer as per the social contract.

Please supply the data by ethnicity and age group for each year. For example, NZ European who are are Irish may have a higher rate compared to an Italian or Polish person in NZ, I mean their DNA is different. Thus, isn't the class grouping 'Other/European' inaccuate and giving a false representation for all european people, even though, lets say more celtic people or say, scandanavian people who more at risk. Compared to the grouping Maori, which is very specfic even though they are pacific islanders.

Yours faithfully,

C J

Kia ora,

The OIA team at Manatû Hauora is currently on holiday break. We will
return on 9 January 2023.

Please note, over the holiday period there are three weeks that don’t
count as ‘working days’. For Official Information Act (OIA) requests, that
period is 25 December 2021 to 15 January 2022 (inclusive). OIA requests
received after 29 November 2021 may take a bit longer than you expected.
The OIA calculator can show you the latest date you can expect a
response: [1]www.ombudsman.parliament.nz/agency-assistance/official-information-calculators.

Have a safe and happy holiday period.

How does this come within scope I'm wanting data up until 2023 and relating to my specific question. Where specifically is the data relating to young males under 30 and their ethnicity specifically.

Yours sincerely,
