Thank you for your email of 21 March 2023 requesting the following under the Official Information Act 1982 (the Act):

Please provide copies of any documents relating to the dumping of cleanfill or other materials at 1044 Coast Road Wainuiomata [Lot 5 DP 551868]. Please include any returns of the quantity of material dumped at this site.
Please provide any documentation relating to the dumping of material within the stream bead at approximate location 1,759,492.339 5,420,614.389 Meters.

In our view, it would have been necessary under section 14 of the OIA to transfer your request to Hutt City Council because the information you requested is held by that agency. However, we are aware that you have already made your request to Hutt City Council and therefore we have not transferred it.

You have the right to seek an investigation and review by the Office of the Ombudsman of my decision to withhold information relating to this request, in accordance with section 28(3) of the Act. The relevant details can be found on their website at: http://www.ombudsman.parliament.nz/.
