Could you also release any internal meeting minutes, emails or
correspondence with the production company and/or Police about cancelling
Police Ten 7 Aotearoa?

Communication regarding the decision to cancel Police Ten 7 / Ten 7
Aotearoa took place in person internally or over the phone with the
production company, which is standard practice at TVNZ for a cancellation
of this nature. Therefore, we do not have any relevant minutes, emails or
correspondence to release regarding the decision to cancel the show. Any
discussions with the Police were handled by the production company. 

 

Does TVNZ have plans to discontinue any more similar Policing television
programs such as Motorway Patrol and Highway Cops?

The decision to recommission or discontinue a returning programme is
generally made prior to production on a new season beginning. There are no
plans to discontinue Motorway Patrol or Highway Cops.

 

In accordance with Section 19(b) of the Act we advise that you have the
right to seek an investigation and review of the above refusal by making a
complaint under Section 28(3) to an Ombudsman.
