following information, under the Local Government Official Information and
Meetings Act 1987 (LGOIMA):

 

“I'm interested in the current status of the Ôpâwaho River and Southern
Lights Major Cycle Routes. Can you provide me with any information related
to their current stages in the planning process, any identified potential
routes, scheme designs, staging of construction, briefing and workshop
minutes, and any other relevant information in this area please?”.

 

Please find below a response to your LGOIMA request.

 

The Ôpâwaho River and Southern Lights MCR’s currently have budgets
indicated in the current LTP between FY25 and FY29. Some initial route
optioneering has been undertaken, but final decisions on route selection
have not been completed. No further planning work, route selections or
designs will be undertaken until funding is available.

 

You have the right to ask the Ombudsman to investigate and review our
decision. Complaints can be sent by email to

Please note: our LGOIMA responses may be published on the Christchurch
City Council website a month after they have been responded to, with
