Thank you for your email of 5 July 2023, asking for the following
information under the Official Information Act 1982 (the Act):

Please provide publicly funded hospital discharges for encephalitis,
encephalopathy, acute disseminated encephalomyelitis for the last 20 years
by financial year and 10 year age groups.  I would like it in the same
format as that provided for myocarditis and pericarditis in H202207093.

Te Whatu Ora needs more time to make a decision on your request. We are
therefore writing to notify you of an extension of the time to make our
decision, to 31 August 2023.

This extension is required because the volume of information is such that
a proper response cannot reasonably be made within the original time
limit. I apologise for this delay and we will endeavour to provide a
response as soon as possible but no later than 31 August.
