Aggregated asylum/quota/rfsc/permanent resident numbers for Syria, Afghanistan and Ukraine
M Stephens made this Official Information request to Ministry of Business, Innovation & Employment
The request was successful.
From: M Stephens
Kia ora Ministry of Business, Innovation & Employment,
Can I please get aggregated* data for the decade 2012/13 through 2022/23 for Afghanistans, Syrians and Ukrainians:
Refugee and Protection Claims
Refugee and Protection Approvals
Refugee Quota Arrivals
Refugee Family Support Category Arrivals
Resident Visas decided (applications) approved
Resident Visas decided (applications) declined
Note: I'm looking for aggregated data so that any numbers that are <5 for any particular years are included in a total without identifying data being added, as is the practice for the Refugee and Protection Statistics Packs. For example. from 2013-14 to 2017-18 no Afghans are listed under the Refugee and Protection Claims approvals. My reasoning is that by aggregating these with the entire decade we can avoid any privacy concerns while giving an accurate view of intakes).
Ngā mihi,
M Stephens
