Suspension of skycity licence
Public user made this Official Information request to Department of Internal Affairs
This request has an unknown status. We're waiting for Public user to read recent responses and update the status.
From: Public user
Dear Department of Internal Affairs,
Can you please provide all documentation that is required by law to be released upon an OIA request of this information regarding but not limiting the request made in September 2023 to the gambling commission to suspend SkyCity's licence, all correspondence with the complainant and/or regarding the complaint that bought forth this application and also if any lines of enquiry were made to validate this complaint and if so it has been validated were any lines of enquiry made as to why the complainant states that the failure of host responsibilities occurred between the dates of August 2017 and February 2021 yet no complaint was made until August/September 2023 which coincidentally is the same time political campaigns are in full swing as is a federal investigation into Skycity. And if these lines of enquiry were made can the results be included in this request. I understand the matter is outstanding currently and if this is the sole reason my request is declined can my request be completed upon the situation coming to an end.? I look forward to your reply.
Yours faithfully,
Public user

We are currently considering your request. However as it stands, we are
needing to clarify aspects of your request. Can you please confirm whether
you are seeking information about the Department of Internal Affairs’
September 2023 application to the Gambling Commission to temporarily
suspend SkyCity's casino operator's licence, but not information limited
to the application itself?
Can you please advise by 5pm on 20 September 2023 if this is the intended
scope of your request, and we will proceed with our response accordingly.
It is also important to note that due to statutory timeframes under the
Official Information Act 1982, we are unable to delay the processing of
the request, and we will provide our response to your request as soon as
practicable and within 20 working days. The 20th working day is 3 October
2023.
If you have any questions regarding this, or need any further
clarification, then please let me know.
