Dear Hutt City Council,

On 22 & 24 August 2023, Max Shierlaw made two requests via thIS FYI platform. Max passed away suddenly on 5 September 2023 but this did not become public until late on 6 September. The very next day, 7 September 2023, Hutt City Council cancelled the two requests.

This FYI LOGIMA request is a reinstatement of the questions, but under my name.

It would be appreciated if the request could be backdated so that there isn't a 20-working day timeframe from now for the response. In my opinion, the questions should not have been cancelled. As the FYI platform is public it may be that others would have asked these questions had they not already been asked by Mr Shierlaw.

Dear Hutt City Council,
Please provide the public excluded papers covering the appointment of Representation Review Panel members at the Policy, Finance & Strategy meeting held on 11 July 2023.

It is noted that the grounds for exclusion at the time were to protect the privacy of natural persons (s7(2)(g)) in:

"That the public conduct of the relevant part of the proceedings of the meeting would be likely to result in the disclosure of information for which good reasons exist."

Given that the meeting discussion and the appointment decision are now past and the membership of the panel has been publicly announced, please supply the paper.

It is noted that perhaps the only part of the paper that could still be covered by s7(2)(g) would be the personal contact details on the CVs of the applicants and, if any applicants were not approved, then the identity and CVs of the unsuccessful applicants. It is further noted that the Council has released CV details for the appointed candidates:

The ratepayer-funded remuneration of panel members is not something to which a legal exclusion would apply.

1) a list of all external non-profit organisations funded by way of Hutt City Council grants or budget allocations. This includes payments by Council to marae or associated entities.

2) The amount paid to each organisation or entity.

3) The council budget from which each payment was made.

Thank you for your response to the question about HCC Grants. There were two parts to my LGOIMA request of 26 September, as noted by you:

"We have established these two information requests as new requests under your own name. A decision on these requests will be made at the earliest opportunity, and within 20 working days from today's date."

Can I please have a response to the first part of the request re the Representation Panel Review.
