acknowledge your email of 11 October 2023 requesting under the Official
Information Act 1982 (the Act), the following:

 

‘I am writing to kindly seek some updated information regarding PhD
Student Visas as per below:

 

1. After the border reopens, total number of PhD student visa applications
INZ has received, approved and declined until 31 September 2023, compared
with same period pre covid19(2019-2020) ? Can we please break down these
stats into universities and markets(e.g. China, Vietnam, India, Pakistan,
Sri Lanka, Japan, Thailand, The Philippines, etc)?

 

2. Main reasons for the visa declines for each aforementioned markets.’

later than 09 November 2023, being 20 working days after the day your
request was received. If we are unable to respond to your request by then,
