From: Jon Knox
Dear New Zealand Defence Force,
I seek to determine the dates of Ministerial approval for deployment of members of the NZ SAS to Iraq during the period between 1/1/2014, up to the current date.
I would also be interested in deployment dates & information pertaining to describe the scope of activities permitted for the same period.
Yours faithfully,
Jon Knox.

Response indicates no Ministerial approval for a deployment of the NZSAS between 1 January 2014 and the present (3 March 2015).
Tends to suggest either Ministerial approval was provided outside the stated period, or perhaps that Ministerial approval is not required for deployments of this nature, or that the NZSAS has not been deployed to Iraq during the period specified.
If the NZSAS has been deployed to Iraq as I have heard suggested via the likes of Paul Buchanan & Jon Stephenson in public broadcasts, then the response provide to this OIA suggests that no Ministerial Approval was provided during the specific period stated in the request.
