Disclosure of particulars of the conflict of interests declared by Police
Andrew More made this Official Information request to New Zealand Police
This request has an unknown status. We're waiting for Andrew More to read a recent response and update the status.
From: Andrew More
Dear New Zealand Police,
In response to a complaint of suspected crimes police have repeatedly claimed a conflict of interest in respect of their relationship with C&M Legal.
No meaningful investigation has ensued despite assurances that this would occur.
Due to this lack of progress I have repeatedly requested full disclosure in relation to the conflict of interests. On each occasion the request has been declined or ignored.
It is assumed that one of the interests of police is to uphold the rule of law, investigate crime, bring criminals to justice and protect the innocent. Please confirm whether this is accurate.
The other relates in some manner to the relationship between police and C&M Legal.
Please detail the nature of the interests which police are seeking to promote in respect of their relationships with C&M Legal.
Also, please confirm and explain why police believe that these conflict with their other interests.
Yours faithfully,
Andrew More

Dear New Zealand Police,
The deadline for response to this simple OIA request has lapsed and there has been a breach of the law.
This is not a new issue but has been the subject of multiple prior requests for disclosure over the last year. Whilst responses have been received, none have answered the question raised and inconsistencies are present.
Please provide a full disclosure without further delay.
Yours faithfully,
Andrew More
