o Section 9(2)(b)(ii), where its release would likely unreasonably
prejudice the commercial position of the person who supplied the
information;
o Section 9(2)(ba)(ii), to protect information that is subject to an
obligation of confidence and making it available would likely damage
the public interest; and
o Section 9(2)(c), to avoid prejudice to measures to protect the health
or safety of the public.

I have considered the countervailing public interest in release in making
this decision and consider that it does not outweigh the need to withhold
at this time.

Subject: Official Information request - Request for the un-redacted Pfizer
contract for NZ

Dear Ministry of Health,

Given the NZ government considered very carefully signing a contract, on
behalf of 5 million people, with Pfizer, a pharmaceutical giant based in
the US and convicted felon on the order of billions in fines, no doubt
they had excellent reasons for entering into this agreement. Revealing the
contract ought to put to rest concerns the NZ public have over its
contents, if the New Zealand government did indeed act responsibly in its
negotiations with Pfizer.

To deny there is public interest in the contents of the contract is a
ridiculous claim and not to release it is prima facie evidence of just the
kind of negligent or bad medical judgment concerning, I know for a fact,
to so many New Zealanders.

Please do the right thing for all citizens of this country.
