Dear BUS: Official Information,
My apologies, can you please clarify to avoid any confusion.
You answer states that Mayor Whanau does not have specific rest times and therefore staff do not arrange or organise her schedule in any way to incorporate such rest. Is this correct?
(For reference I have included the Mayor's own quote as per RNZ June 7th, 2024)
Since receiving the diagnosis, Whanau has worked with her office to make changes to her work arrangements, including "front-loading" her day so as to put more challenging tasks at the beginning of the day when her energy is at its greatest, and incorporating more time for rest.
Meetings are kept to 30 minutes and people need to get to the point right away, and we ensure that I get lots of rest - exhaustion is a very common symptom of ADHD"
Thank you.
Yours sincerely,
James

Apologies for the delay in response.
In this case, "rest" refers to the Mayor having time at her desk to work, as opposed to be in meetings or in front of people. Additionally, you are ablet to find summaries of the Mayor's calendar on the Council's website here: https://wellington.govt.nz/your-council/...

Dear BUS: Official Information,
Kia Ora Daniela,
Thank you for your response.
Apologies for the inconvenience, but if you are now reclassifying “rest” as time the Mayor has at her desk to work, my original question has not been answered and is still relevant.
Please provide all instances/dates/length of time/if any, when rest(now defined as working at her desk) has been scheduled for Mayor Tory Whanau by her staff or rest (time at her desk) has been requested or taken by Mayor Whanau to date since her diagnosis.
Thank you.
Yours sincerely,
James
