From: MC

Dear University of Auckland,

Please provide a breakdown of the costs of cutlery and dishware used across the Halls of Residences at the University. Please use the prices of when they were purchased, (e.g. a mug bought in 2018 would use 2018 prices).

Yours faithfully,

MC

Dear MC,

I refer to your request of 20 August 2024. As your request is for a large quantity of official information or necessitates a search through a large quantity of information and meeting the original time limit would unreasonably interfere with the operations of the University, and consultations necessary to make a decision on your request are such that a response cannot reasonably be given within the original time limit, the University has extended the time limit for your request under section 15A(1)(a) and (b) of the OIA. The new maximum time limit for the University’s response is 15 October 2024; we will respond to your request as soon as reasonably practicable. You have the right to make a complaint to an Ombudsman if you are dissatisfied with this extension.

Yours sincerely,

Dear requester,

I refer to your request of 20 August 2024 under the Official Information
Act 1982 (“OIA”) for information concerning the costs of cutlery and
dishware. The University’s response follows.

“Please provide a breakdown of the costs of cutlery and dishware used
across the Halls of Residences at the University. Please use the prices of
when they were purchased, (e.g. a mug bought in 2018 would use 2018
prices).”

Your request is refused under section 18(h) of the OIA, on the basis that
the information requested is trivial. If your request had not been refused
under section 18(h), we would have considered whether to refuse your
request on the basis that the information could not be made available
without substantial collation or research. You have the right to make a
complaint to an Ombudsman if you are dissatisfied with this response.

Yours sincerely,
