Dear Ministry of Health,

I request all communications (sceptical, supportive, or questioning) to the Minister, or any associate Minister of Health regarding the current policy settings of medical interventions on gender questioning children and adolescents, that is
a) from a medical professional or group of professionals,
b) since the release of the Cass Review final report on the 11th of March to the latest available date,
c) as well as any responses from a Minister or official.

Dear Simon,

 

Thank you for your request for Official Information Act 1982 (the Act)
transferred to the Office of Hon Matt Doocey received on 11 September 2024
for:

 

I request all communications (sceptical, supportive, or questioning) to
the Minister, or any associate Minister of Health regarding the current
policy settings of medical interventions on gender questioning children
and adolescents, that is

a) from a medical professional or group of professionals,

b) since the release of the Cass Review final report on the 11th of March
to the latest available date,

c) as well as any responses from a Minister or official.

 

The Office of Hon Matt Doocey has decided to extend the period of time
available to respond to your request under section 15A of the Official
Information Act 1982 (the Act) as consultations necessary to make a
decision on the request are such that a proper response to the request
cannot reasonably be made within the original time limit. 

 

You can now expect a response to your request on, or before, 6 November
2024.

 

You have the right, under section 28 of the Act, to ask the Ombudsman to
review my decision to extend the time available to respond to your
request.
