To be able to request information under the OIA, you need to meet the eligibility criteria set out in section 12 of the Official Information Act 1982:

Any person, being—
(a) a New Zealand citizen; or
(b) a permanent resident of New Zealand; or
(c) a person who is in New Zealand; or
(d) a body corporate which is incorporated in New Zealand; or
(e) a body corporate which is incorporated outside New Zealand but which has a place of business in New Zealand,

Please provide evidence that you are eligible to make an OIA request under section 12 of the OIA. This may be in the form of a copy of your New Zealand Passport, drivers licence or a copy of a utility bill with your address on it.
