Carplay and Android Auto cutting out

Hemant made this Official Information request to Ministry of Business, Innovation & Employment

This request has an unknown status. We're waiting for Hemant to read a recent response and update the status.

From: Hemant

Dear Radio Spectrum Management via Ministry of Business, Innovation & Employment,

I was after all reports/investigations/complaints you had on why apple carplay and android auto drop out at different locations around Auckland.

In particular around the old 'Panmure roundabout' i.e. the intersection of the roads Queens Rd, Lagoon Dr, Ellerslie Panmure Highway, Ireland Rd and Jellicoe Rd.

While this is just an unverified internet comment, its why I think you might have information about this:

"In urban areas the interference has been linked to NZTA / AT traffic monitoring (Bluetooth sniffing) systems also including CCTV backhaul which use unlicensed frequencies that Wi-Fi uses - I believe R.S.M looked into this in Auckland."
From: https://www.reddit.com/r/auckland/commen...

Also, as well as the 2.4 Ghz frequency the comment is referring to, I was also after information of reports/investigations/complaints that would interfere in the 5Ghz band (for WiFi) and 5G Cellular data.

Yours faithfully,

Hemant
